About Kenai CVB
The Kenai Convention & Visitors Bureau is the tourism promotional organization for the City of Kenai. The purpose and mission of the Kenai CVB is similar to convention & visitor bureaus throughout the country, except for one clear distinction. Many CVBs operate seasonal visitor information centers, but the Kenai CVB manages the multi-purpose Kenai Visitors & Cultural Center.

The Kenai Visitors & Cultural Center is much more than a visitor information center; it is one of Kenai's premiere attractions. The 10,000 square foot facility, which opened in 1992, serves as the community cultural center. The Center houses an impressive permanent collection of Native Alaskan and historical artifacts, wildlife exhibits, and is one of the most visited public buildings in the entire Kenai Peninsula.

As professional facility managers, the Kenai CVB operates the Center 6 days per week with daily operations in the summer.

Although the Kenai CVB's primary mission is to promote a strong local visitor industry, tourism is not our only mission. The organization is also committed to bringing the residents of Kenai an excellent mix of high-quality, stimulating, educational and cultural programming throughout the year.

For the past two summers, the Kenai CVB has teamed up with the local college to produce two world-class, highly acclaimed, art exhibitions exclusively in Kenai.

The mission of the Kenai CVB is to:

— promote the City of Kenai as a visitor destination;
— promote the history and culture of Kenai;
— manage the Center as a community cultural facility;
— encourage economic development of the City of Kenai through the travel and tourism industry;
— to promote the membership of Kenai CVB with a focus on marketing the City of Kenai.

The Bureau is managed by a professional staff and a volunteer, elected board of directors..
