Homer Pratt Museum
The museum focuses on the natural and cultural
history of the Kachemak Bay region on the Kenai Peninsula. Exhibits include
artifacts from the areas earliest Native inhabitants to homesteaders
of the 30s and 40s. Excellent aquariums and a
tide-pool tank feature live Kachemak Bay sea creatures, and exhibits feature
Alaska birds and mammals. Visitors may also operate remotely controlled
cameras to view Alaska seabirds and coastal brown bears in inaccessible
regions. Changing exhibits feature Alaska artwork and other topics of
special interest. Summer visitors may take a self-guided tour through
the botanical garden and the Forest Ecology Trail and visit the historical
Harrington Homestead cabin.

Bunnel Street Gallery
Artists founded the Bunnell Street Gallery as
an arts exhibition venue that fosters the creative spirit within the
community. The mission is to exhibit ambitious, experimental, excellent
artwork in all media, regardless of its sale-ability. The non-profit
corporation runs monthly meetings, art education seminars and art exhibitions.
