Christmas Tree & Wreath Auction
Thursday Nov 03 2011

As the Holiday Season draws near, our great community offers much to see and do.  Fast approaching is the Annual Christmas Comes to Kenai Celebration.  It’s time again to decorate Christmas trees at the Kenai Visitor’s and Cultural Center to be auctioned off during the festivities the day after Thanksgiving.  As you develop your Christmas tree, please keep in mind there are two purposes for this auction:  The first is to raise money for non-profit organizations of the Central Peninsula, the second is to raise awareness about the work you do and how people may get in touch with you.  A participating organization has the option to take part by silent auction, or by bucket raffle.  The Kenai Visitor Center will provide trees, and will do our best to accommodate specifications.  We will also manage the auction, ticket sales, post-auction tree delivery, and other administration aspects of the event.  Christmas trees will cost $15, all trees must be for sale and limited to one per organization.  The proceeds from each tree will be split between the organization which decorated the tree and exhibits and programs at the Kenai Visitor’s and Cultural Center.

But that’s not all; the KVCC will also be introducing UNWREATH: AN INVITATIONAL.  Along with Christmas trees, this year we will be displaying and auctioning off Christmas Wreaths designed and created by local artists. These aren’t your typical wreaths, expect fun and funkiness.   For more information please contact Zirrus VanDevere @ 283-3152.
